Bank Healthcare Support Worker
Main duties of the job

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are seeking motivated, dynamic Healthcare Support Workers to join our Bank. You will complement our experienced and specialist workforce and help provide optimal care for our patients.

We are looking for experienced Healthcare Support Workers with a minimum of 12 months experience in a Hospital, Residential or Care home setting. You will be able to work effectively in a variety of wards and departments and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. You will be committed to demonstrating our Trusts CARE values.

After a qualifying period, our Bank Healthcare Support Worker role offers a variety of shifts including early, late, long day and night shifts with flexibility to support a positive and flexible work life balance.

Training & Qualifications
  • Literacy level 1 or equivalent (GCSE D-G, 3-6).
  • Numeracy level 1 or equivalent (GCSE D-G, 3-6).
  • The Care Certificate
  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent or above in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards an award
  • ESOL level 2 or equivalent (if English not first language)
Experience & Knowledge
  • Experience in a public facing/customer care role or environment
  • A minimum of 12 months care experience
  • Previous experience in a Health/Health and Social Care role
  • Previous NHS experience / Understanding of NHS/Social care systems
Skills & Ability
  • Good written and verbal communication in the English language
