Overview

A Vacancy at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role is for 2nd/3rd Year Adult Student Nurses only – any other applications will not be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Support adult student nurses to work as Bank Health Care Support Workers providing care to patients in our inpatient settings.
  • Assist patients with individual activities of daily living – washing, dressing, bathing, oral hygiene, food and nutrition, toileting, nail care, grooming, safety and maintaining a sleep‑conducive environment.
  • Contribute to the moving and handling of patients to maximise physical comfort and enhance rehabilitation and independence.
  • Approach ward visitors in a helpful and welcoming manner and refer them to the most appropriate person to answer their query.
  • Respect the diverse cultural, ethnic and religious preferences of patients, promoting equality in care and service delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements

To support your application ensure your university is listed as ‘most recent employer’ and provide placement details. You must be a 2nd/3rd Year Adult Student Nurse and have the clinical and communication skills to support Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in providing ‘Safe High Quality Care’.

  • Work flexibly around your studies/placements – you decide where you would like to work and the shifts that suit your individual needs.
  • Shifts will be available at Moseley Hall Hospital, West Heath Hospital and our Intermediate Care Centres, covering 24 hours 7 days per week.
  • You will work with a variety of disciplines within the multidisciplinary team under the supervision and guidance of a registered nurse.
