Job summary

Rhodes Wood Hospital in Hatfield is seeking an experienced Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our flexible staff bank. After completing a paid two-week induction, you’ll access shifts across Rhodes Wood and potentially other Elysium services in the region.

Shifts run 12.5 hours on a 24/7 basis, with a zero-hour contract giving you freedom to choose weekly patterns. Earn an hourly rate with a holiday uplift and enjoy meals on duty and free parking.

There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.

Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the shifts at Rhodes Wood Hospital secured that you want.

Whether your nursing experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.

What you will be doing

You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with Eating Disorder conditions. Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5 hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.

Where you will be working

Location: Rhodes Wood Hospital. Shepherds Way, Hatfield AL9 6NN

Join the team at Rhodes Wood Hospital providing care for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders who require residential care, working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.

There is also an on-site Ofsted Registered school to support young people continue with their education while in hospital. Rhodes Wood Hospital is located on the outskirts of Hatfield, which is easily reachable by car.
