Job summary

Operose Health is seeking a General Practitioner to join Cricketfield Surgery, Newton Abbot, on bank hours. The post offers £65 per hour with flexible bank shifts to support high-quality primary care across the locality.

You will deliver clinical care to registered patients, work with clinical leads to meet governance standards, participate in triage-based consultations (in person, video or phone), carry out reviews, sign prescriptions and contribute to service improvement and KPI delivery.

Qualifications

• Current GMC registration and NHS performers list; engaged in regular clinical work.
• GP accreditation (MRCGP or equivalent).
• Commitment to delivering quality and patient-focused services.
• Knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and use of appropriate coding.
• Working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality clinical care to registered and attending patients and support the surgery's operational plan.
• Maintain quality through clinical governance, audits and QOF; contribute to CQC standards.
• Provide care per job plan including triage model: consultations, triage, medication reviews, prescriptions, safeguarding, home visits, and on-call.
• Adhere to GMC standards with patient care as a priority.
• Support development and delivery of the surgery action plan with management and KPI targets.

Main Responsibilities:

As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:

• To deliver high quality clinical care to the patients registered and attending the GP surgery and to work closely with the clinical leads and local practice team to support the delivery of the surgeries operational plan.
• You will strive to maintain qualify within the practice ensuring participation in clinical governance activity and contribute to the improvement in qualify health outcomes through audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework and contributing to the practice achieving other qualify standards to include CQC standards.
• To provide clinical care to patients as described in the job plan and in line with the total triage model. This will include consultation sessions (both in person and by video), telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews and prescription signing and other clinical administration,safeguarding lead, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on-call (excluding out of hours).
• To adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and to put individual patient care as your priority.
• Working with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan – including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.
