Job summary

Bright Horizons Witney Day Nursery in Witney, Oxfordshire, is seeking a flexible bank Early Years Teacher to support the delivery of the EYFS with engaging activities and strong partnerships with parents.

Holder of QTS, EYTS, EYPS or a full Level 6 Early Years qualification, you will join the Bright Flex/Bank team. The role offers the benefits of employment and opportunities for professional development, alongside childcare discounts and pension schemes.

Salary – £15.29 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

This lovely nursery caters for up to 85 children from ages 3 months up to 5 years. It includes 3 age based rooms full of sensory area, cosy reading corners and imagination stations with a beautiful outdoor space for the children to enjoy, the nursery also benefits from extracurricular activities such as as Boogie Mites sessions.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds! Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What we’re looking for

• Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS), or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification


• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child


• Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)


• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection


• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers


• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both colleagues and parents


• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
