Job summary

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a Bank Domestic Assistant for West View Integrated Care Centre in Tenterden. You will join a busy domestic team responsible for keeping rooms clean, safe and welcoming for residents with dementia, residential and respite care.

You will work with a great team, demonstrate initiative, and maintain high hygiene standards while engaging with residents and their families in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
• Demonstrate ability to work without direct supervision.
• Familiarity with COSHH-regulated products and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise rooms including furnishings in assigned areas.
• Assist with laundry and maintain hygiene standards in the home.
• Engage with service users and families with empathy and professionalism.

  The ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of the service and Laundry causing minimal disruption to our services users and their care
• Be able to communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families and colleagues, good interpersonal and working relationship skills are essential
• Will need to demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision
• You will use a variety of cleaning products paying particular attention to COSHH regulated products
• You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and be able to maintain high level of hygiene within the home
