Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Clinical Homecare Nurse to deliver patient-centred care in patients' homes within the community. The role involves administering parenteral nutrition and IV therapies, assessing patients, and training patients and carers to manage treatment safely.

The position requires a minimum of one year's post-registration nursing experience and a valid UK driving licence, with regular travel within the community and a company car provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care in patients' homes and community settings.
• Administer parenteral nutrition, IV therapies and clinical interventions in line with SOPs and professional standards.
• Assess patients, identify changes in condition and elevate clinical concerns.
• Support treatment initiation, ongoing care and transitions from hospital to home.
• Train and educate patients, families and carers to manage treatment safely and build independence.
• Give clinical advice and build relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Work with NHS colleagues, senior homecare nurses, clinical nurse managers and wider teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Keep accurate clinical records in line with clinical governance, NMC standards and company policies.
• Support patient safety, quality improvement, service development and programme KPIs.
• Maintain clinical competence through training, CPD, reflective practice and evidence-based care.

This bank post with Inizio Engage sits in its Clinical Homecare Nursing Team, which works with NHS partners to deliver specialist care in patients' own homes. The core of the work is administering parenteral nutrition and IV therapies, assessing patients, and training patients and carers to manage their treatment. The role is community-based and autonomous, requiring regular travel within the community and a company car. Minimum one year's post-registration nursing experience and a valid UK driving licence decide fit.
