Barchester Healthcare is seeking a qualified chef for a casual, part-time Bank Chef role across our homes, offering flexible shifts and a better work-life balance. You will support the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome menus using fresh seasonal produce to delight residents.

We value warm, motivated chefs who focus on quality, hygiene and HACCP, with experience leading a team and tailoring menus to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Personable, warm approach focused on resident wellbeing.
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience in leading and inspiring a team.
• Understanding of nutrition.
• Experience with fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming home environment.
• Good understanding of HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality dishes.
• Create a warm, efficient and fun environment.
