Job summary

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a Bank Catering Assistant to join the team at Abbott House in Oundle. This flexible, zero-hour bank contract offers shifts as needed and ensures you contribute to delivering home-cooked meals to residents.

Under the guidance of the Cook, you will support the catering team to prepare meals, maintain high hygiene standards, and respond to residents' nutritional needs. Shaw is a Real Living Wage employer committed to staff development and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bank 0hr contract, as/when required.
• Real Living Wage Employer; salary above minimum wage.
• Abbott House, Oundle site.

Responsibilities

• Assist chef with food preparation
• Independently prepare hot meals/sandwiches for residents
• Load and unload dishwasher; wash equipment not suitable for dishwasher
• Clean kitchen and equipment
• Collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors
• Clear tea trolleys where applicable
• Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear of refuse
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
• Carry out reasonable requests by the Senior Chef/Chef
• Ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Policy and Regulations
