Role Overview

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional daytime care through nutritious home‑cooked meals? Join us at The Oaks Care Home part of the Sandstone Care Group. Situated in Newtown Powys, this luxurious 73‑bed purpose‑built nursing and residential home opened in January 2020 and offers state‑of‑the‑art facilities including a coffee shop / bistro, hair & nail salon, activities room, landscaped gardens and advanced care technology.

We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and dynamic environment for both residents and staff and we are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate individuals to join our catering team and contribute to our continued success.

Responsibilities

As a Bank Catering Assistant you’ll help ensure the smooth running of the kitchen by :

  • Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas.
  • Supporting stock management and proper food storage.
  • Helping during busy meal service times.
  • Creating a welcoming kitchen environment for staff and residents.
  • Completing any required training to support your development.

  • Overtime is paid for working over full‑time hours. However overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final.
