Bank Band 4 Nurse Associate - North Wiltshire

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Band 4 Nurse Associate to join our North Wiltshire Locality Hospital at Home service. The service is currently undergoing an exciting period of transformation, making this an excellent time to become part of a dynamic and innovative team. Post will be based at either Chippenham, Malmesbury or Savernake Hospital, you'll be working Monday - Sunday 8am - 6pm (would consider shorter shifts).

Nursing Associates bring valuable knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours to their roles and are expected to work in line with the NMC Code of Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour for Nursing Associates. With a broad understanding of care across the lifespan, they provide holistic, person-centred support to individuals of all ages in a variety of settings.

As part of the Hospital at Home Team, you will help deliver high-quality, person-centred acute nursing care directly to patients in their homes. You will have completed the Nursing Associate Foundation Degree and will play an important role in supporting patients within the community.

In this role, you will carry out a wide range of duties delegated by a suitably registered practitioner, bringing core nursing values compassion, competence, communication, courage, care, and commitment to every stage of assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care.

Main duties of the job

As a Nurse Associate you will:

  • Work in care teams with other professionals, providing practical help by delivering aspects of nursing care to vulnerable and often highly dependent patients.
  • Use sound clinical reasoning skills when delivering care and therapy interventions
  • Deliver a delegated workload against the needs of patients and service
  • Treat all individuals with respect and maintain privacy, dignity and confidentiality
  • Commit to personal and professional development
  • Organise, prioritise and adjust own workload
  • Accurately and effectively report on care undertaken and document changes in condition, maintain records, and ensure that there is feedback to the appropriate or responsible healthcare professional.

Job responsibilities

As Band 4 Nurse Associate, you'll be part of our valued team in our North Locality Hospital at Home service.

  • Self-booking and access to all bank shifts! Staff are given access to all Bank shifts within their Business Unit and can self-book providing they meet the shift requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

Registered as a Nurse Associate with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

Experience of working within a clinical setting

Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice

Experience of working within a multi‑disciplinary team

Effective verbal and written communication

Excellent interpersonal skills and able to build effective working relationships with both clients and colleagues

An ability to respond to people in distress

Car driver, with access to own vehicle.
