Job summary

Pulse Healthcare in the West Midlands is seeking a Band 8a Locum Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our medical team. The role focuses on SPECT-CT procedures, ideally cardiac imaging, with a 37.5-hour week from 9am to 5pm and an ASAP start.

You will perform a range of nuclear medicine procedures, ensure high-quality diagnostic images, maintain strict safety protocols, and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Degree or equivalent in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
• Proven experience in a similar Band 8a role or higher.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret results and provide patient care.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, follow safety protocols, and engage in CPD.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Relevant degree or equivalent in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably at Band 8a level
• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and imaging techniques - SPECT-CT, ideally within a Cardiac setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to patient care and safety
• Up-to-date knowledge of radiation protection and safety regulations
• Proficiency in using nuclear medicine imaging equipment and software
