Senior Clinical Pharmacist – Cardiology & Respiratory

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) is seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to lead our cardiology and respiratory services. This pivotal role within the Specialist Medicine team offers the chance to shape clinical practice, drive service innovation, and improve patient outcomes across Queen’s and King George Hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead pharmacist for cardiology and respiratory, providing expert clinical input.
  • Deliver safe, evidence‑based pharmaceutical care.
  • Drive service development and clinical governance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise outcomes.
  • Prescribe independently where qualified.
  • Mentor junior pharmacists and support training.
  • Deputise for Lead Pharmacist for Medicine.
  • Lead on CQUIN/QCIP programmes and audits.

The post holder will also be responsible for providing and developing comprehensive, patient‑oriented pharmacy services at ward and outpatient levels throughout BHRUT, working closely with senior colleagues and clinical technicians to ensure an integrated and efficient service.
