An exciting opportunity is available to join Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) leadership team as a Clinical Dietetic Manager for Primary Care and Mental Health.

We are looking for a leader with proven strategic and operational management, service development and clinical leadership skills to drive forward the future delivery of our services.

This post will be a job share with an existing Clinical Dietetic Manager.

Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) has a team of approximately 90 staff working in primary care, mental health, public health and home enteral nutrition and is made up of dietitians, community nutritionists, dietetic support workers and support team staff covering the population of LLR.

This role will have specific leadership and management responsibilities for our Primary Care and Mental Health team covering outpatients and community hospital inpatients and our newly developed dietetics prescribing team.

Main duties of the job

You will be a self motivated team player, passionate about quality improvement and service development and have excellent communication skills.

You will represent LNDS on Trust groups, committees and county wide meetings including meeting with our existing and prospective commissioners across Local Authorities and the Health and Social care community.

Ability to drive and access to your own transport during working hours is essential.

The service is committed to CPD and personal development and we have good clinical supervision models and in-house CPD in place to support you.

The service is involved in the pre-registration placements for student dietitians undertaking A, B and C placements which this post holder will have a lead role in.
