Job description

Job Title: Locum Speech and Language Therapists

Banding: Band 7

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Until 31/05/2025

Location: London

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am - 4pm

Rate: £29 - £34

Responsibilities:

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will demonstrate highly specialist clinical expertise in assessing, treating, and managing language, communication, and swallowing problems in adult clients. You will provide evidence-based interventions, evaluate outcomes, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner. Your role will involve utilizing specialist knowledge, interpretative assessment techniques, and interventions, particularly in the care of patients with tracheostomies and those requiring instrumental procedures such as video fluoroscopy.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience in neurology and progressive neurological conditions
  • Training in FEES and video fluoroscopy highly beneficial
  • Specialist knowledge in neurorehabilitation
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
