Job summary

A healthcare recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated Band 7 Oncology Pharmacist in Oxford. You will lead Medicines Management, providing expert clinical care and guidance across various hospital departments. The ideal candidate must hold GPhC registration and be ready to support safe medication practices for oncology patients while contributing to a multidisciplinary team. This is an ongoing, ad hoc position with a working schedule from Monday to Friday.

Job description

Band 7 Oncology Pharmacist

  • Location – Oxford
  • Schedule – Monday – Friday, 09:00am – 17:00pm or 08:00am – 18:00pm (Dependant on service needs)
  • Start Date – ASAP
  • Contract Duration – Ongoing
  • Employment Type – Ad hoc, Onsite only
  • Rates - £28 - £31 (Dependant on experience)
Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 Oncology Pharmacist to join the multidisciplinary within this Oxford Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role as a Medicines Management Lead, ensuring the safe, effective, and high-quality use of medicines across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering expert clinical care and pharmaceutical advice to various parts of the hospital including pre‑assessment clinics, outpatient departments, wards and theatres
  • Offer specialist pharmaceutical advice to clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and promote best practice in medicines optimisation
  • Support safe and effective prescribing, administration, and monitoring of medicines
  • Provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients
