Do you want to make a real difference to the young people in your community? If so, then join us in this rewarding new role in prevention and early intervention mental health care.

The Mental Health in Schools Support Teams (MHST) is an initiative funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community. MHST's have been set up to offer cognitive behaviour (CBT) interventions to children, young people and their families with low-moderate mental health difficulties. The interventions are (mostly) delivered in a range of education settings for children aged 5 - 18 years old, with the aim of improving access to mental health care for all young people who may need it. AWP are working in partnership with Off the Record (OTR) to co-deliver this model in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) area with the workforce being employed equally across both organisations. We are now in the position to recruit new senior clinical roles. This will broaden our scope to offer some high intensity CBT in our region and provide high quality CYPIAPT supervision of supervision.

We are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust) a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care. We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset. Our outstanding people promote mental health and wellbeing. The expertise and resources within AWP are dedicated to a person-centred approach for those who use our services and for all employees. We recognise that happy and fulfilled employees give better care. At AWP we actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds; we are particularly keen to encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBTQ+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge to AWP, as diversity makes us stronger.
