Job Title: Locum Senior Physiotherapist – Urgent Care Therapy Team
Banding: Band 7
Location: Tunbridge Wells
Contract Type: Locum
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, covering a 7-day service from 8 AM to 8 PM across A&E and the Frailty Unit
Duration: 12 weeks
Rate: £29 – £32 per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a Band 7 Locum Senior Physiotherapist to join our Urgent Care Therapy Team in Tunbridge Wells. In this role, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy services within the emergency department and frailty unit, ensuring timely and effective care for patients in urgent need.

What your responsibilities will be for this Physiotherapy role?

As a Band 7 Locum Senior Physiotherapist you will perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting in A&E and the Frailty Unit, identifying their physiotherapy needs and developing appropriate treatment plans. You will implement evidence-based interventions to facilitate recovery and enhance patient mobility. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care across the urgent care spectrum. You will contribute to the development and delivery of a 7-day service, providing support and expertise during your shifts. You will supervise and mentor junior staff and support workers, fostering their professional development and ensuring high standards of care. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in line with professional standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Must be a registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Must hold a relevant degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Must have significant experience in an urgent care or emergency setting, particularly within A&E and frailty services.
  • Must demonstrate strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to delivering patient-centered care and improving patient outcomes.
