A major healthcare provider in the UK seeks an experienced leader for their ophthalmic imaging team. The role involves managing staff, ensuring quality care, and implementing service improvements. Applicants need a degree in Photography or Vision Science and at least 5 years of relevant experience. This permanent position offers a salary range of £53,751 to £60,651 per annum, with full-time working options available.
Provide expert leadership, operational oversight, and clinical excellence in delivering high-quality ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic services across CDC ophthalmology sites.
Manage, motivate, and develop the ophthalmic imaging/photography team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in line with national and Trust standards.
Provide leadership and high-quality teaching for staff within Ophthalmology specialty. Serve as the professional role model, promoting service innovation, continual learning, and Trust values throughout the team and clinical service. Identify and implement service improvements for Ophthalmic Imaging services.
Lead and manage the ophthalmic imaging/photography team, ensuring appropriate structures and practices to achieve outstanding care quality and team performance.
Supervise daily clinical operations resource allocation, and staff deployment across all clinical areas in CDC clinics.
Recruit, train, and support new staff, providing induction and ongoing professional development.
Lead and manage Band 5/6. Undertake staff appraisals and facilitate regular professional reviews (Appraisals).
Address and elevate any capacity, demand, or staffing issues with department leadership.
Lead on infection control, cleanliness, and compliance with health & safety regulations.
Monitor, review, and improve service quality via audits, feedback, and learning opportunities.
