About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 General Ultrasound Sonographer to join the Imaging Department in Glasgow. This ongoing, full-time position offers an exceptional hourly rate of £60.00 and the chance to work in a vibrant, forward-thinking healthcare environment.

This role is ideal for experienced sonographers seeking to utilise their skills across both outpatient and inpatient general ultrasound services. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging to support accurate diagnoses and excellent patient outcomes.

Applicants must hold HCPC registration and a valid driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of general ultrasound examinations for both outpatients and inpatients, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in all imaging.

Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Maintain precise and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.

Communicate technical findings and imaging results clearly to relevant medical and clinical staff.

Contribute to maintaining high departmental standards, ensuring protocols and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Perform regular equipment checks and promptly report any faults or calibration issues.

About You

To excel in this role, you will bring:

HCPC registration and proven experience as a qualified Sonographer.

Proficiency in general ultrasound techniques, including abdominal, pelvic, and small parts imaging.

A valid driving licence, with the ability to travel to different locations within Glasgow as required.
