A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking an Electrical Engineering Compliance Manager to ensure compliance and safety for electrical systems. The role involves managing regulatory requirements, producing board reports, and working with team members across various clinical operational areas. The role of the Electrical Engineering Compliance Manager is to work with the wider Estates Maintenance team on the Trust’s electrical system and to support the Head of Estates with the broader electrical strategy for the Trust. This role requires the candidate to be the Authorised Person and cover the Authorised Person duties in electrical services, comply with all legal requirements, and provide assurance to the Trust board that these meet the statutory compliance requirements. The role oversees the safe management, maintenance, operation, and reactive response for engineering systems. It also aids the Head of Estates in delivering planned and reactive electrical services and programmes of work across the LPT estate, ensuring contractor compliance, supervising presence and work, and giving guidance and direction as appropriate. They are the primary Authorised Person for HV and LV sitewide and responsible for the Generator Testing Programme, a fundamental requirement for ensuring site safety. You will be responsible for procuring works to manage electrical activities, producing reports for board‑level reporting requirements, and keeping records to ensure and evidence compliance. You will strategically develop service‑related plans and procedures across the Trust in line with safe systems of work and HTM & regulatory/mandatory standards. You will ensure all policies and operating procedures are in date, disseminated, and up to date with current and changes in legislation and HTM. You will maintain CAFM system data relevant to electrical compliance, ensuring accuracy and alignment with HTM/SFG20 requirements. You will work with a wide range of staff members across the organisation, employing a wide range of communication and negotiation skills and techniques, to enable access to clinically operational areas of the site.
