A leading community health organization in Guildford is seeking a dedicated Community Children's Nursing Team Lead to oversee a high-quality community service for children and families. The ideal candidate will have significant clinical experience and leadership skills, focusing on service improvement and team support. This role involves a combination of operational management and clinical responsibilities, ensuring effective care delivery and collaboration with various stakeholders.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Community Children's Nursing Team Lead to join our Childrens Community Nursing Team in Surrey.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape a holistic, high-quality, and family-centred community nursing service for children and young people.
As the Community Children's Nursing Team Lead, you will be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operational management of the service ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based care delivery.
You will lead a skilled team of childrens community nurses, overseeing clinical governance, service performance, and workforce development, while promoting innovation and best practice across the service.
This role combines strategic leadership (70%) with clinical practice (30%), allowing you to maintain hands‑on clinical expertise while driving service improvement, quality assurance, and team development. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues, commissioners, and families to ensure the service meets local needs and performance targets.
