Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Clinical Psychologist (Band 7) to join a Community Mental Health Team for adults in West Norfolk, based at Chatterton House. You will lead psychological assessments, formulate care plans and deliver evidence-based interventions for adults with complex needs.

Role includes supervision and training, collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues, and contributing to service development. Registration with HPC or in process is required.

Qualifications

• BPS-accredited postgraduate degree in clinical psychology or counselling (or equivalent)
• HPC registration or in process of registering
• Supervisor training or willingness to undertake it
• Experience as a qualified clinical or counselling psychologist at Band 7 or trainee level

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological leadership in the CMHT and promote psychologically informed care
• Offer consultation, supervision, reflective practice and psychological advice to multidisciplinary colleagues
• Deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions for adults with complex and enduring problems
• Lead formulation, risk assessment and risk management in collaboration with service users and families
• Contribute to training that promotes trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware care
• Collaborate with secondary/primary care and voluntary sector partners to join up care
• Support collection and use of outcome measures, audits and service data
• Provide placements, mentorship and supervision for trainee psychologists and others
