As a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and advice for adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
- Work closely with senior clinicians to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions.
- Manage a varied caseload that may include patients with neurological conditions, head and neck cancer, voice, and dysfluency disorders.
- Contribute to service development and multidisciplinary meetings as part of the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT).
- Receive support and supervision to develop clinical expertise and build confidence in your specialist areas.
Qualifications
- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification
- HCPC registration
- RCSLT membership
- Experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders across a range of conditions, using a variety of assessments and therapy approaches.
- A proactive approach to learning and development, with a passion for delivering person-centred care.
- Confidence using IT systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Salary & Benefits
£35,392.00 - £42,618.00 Band 6 Salary with NHS Pension and full Agenda for Change terms and conditions, plus a high cost area supplement of 5% of the basic salary.
