You will undertake all clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, demonstrating excellent time management and planning skills. Additionally, you will supervise, educate, and assess less experienced staff to ensure departmental standards are met.
Our trust, led by Chair Jacqui Smith and Chief Executive Matthew Trainer, serves residents from diverse London boroughs and parts of south-west Essex. Over half of our 7,500 staff are from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic groups, primarily residing in Barking and Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge. We provide comprehensive healthcare services across two main hospital sites—King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford—as well as outpatient services at several clinics. Our emergency departments are among the busiest in London.
As we recover from COVID-19, we are proud to lead nationally in reducing treatment wait times. The pandemic has driven innovation and change within our teams. We are committed to further improvements in urgent and emergency care waiting times and are proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre, Radiotherapy Centre, Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, and dedicated breast care services. We are also part of the NEL Cancer Alliance.
