Job summary

Qualifications

About the Company

Responsibilities
  • Be professionally accountable for a designated caseload of adults with learning disabilities who have profound and multiple disabilities and complex health needs, including challenging behaviour.
  • Work as a key member of an integrated, county-wide multidisciplinary team.
  • Support and contribute to the development of the learning disability service in accordance with the objectives and principles of Valuing People Now 2009.
  • Delegate and supervise the work of junior staff within the service.
  • Support the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist with the prioritisation, planning, development and delivery of a high-quality occupational therapy service, and deputise in their absence by attending meetings, responding to referrals and ensuring appropriate cover.
  • Attend to individual care needs, ensuring patients receive high-quality care and support, and aid in safeguarding and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Experience

Prior experience in a learning disabilities service within the last five years, confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, and the ability to travel across the BSW patch. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
