West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a senior radiographer (Band 6) to join the Radiology team across Watford, St Albans, and Hemel Hempstead. The role involves a shift pattern including long days, nights, and weekends, with flexibility for days off during the week.

You will work across three sites with well-equipped imaging facilities and will mentor junior staff, ensure QA testing, and uphold IRMER17 standards while delivering high-quality imaging to patients.

Qualifikationen

Job summary

We have an opportunity for a dedicated senior radiographer to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This position involves working within our shift system, which includes long days, nights, and weekends, offering flexibility with days off during the week. You will have the opportunity to work across our three sites: Watford, St Albans, and Hemel Hempstead. Our facilities are well-equipped with six CT scanners, three MRI scanners, 10 DR mobile units, and 10 DR general rooms. We welcome applications from current Band 5 Radiographers who have completed the relevant competencies required to progress to a Band 6 role. Full-time and part-time vacancies are available on both substantive and fixed-term contracts; further details will be discussed at interview.

Education and qualifications
  • Either DCR(R) or BSc Radiography. Attendance at mandatory training sessions.

  • Aware of current trends relevant to the profession.
Experience
  • Post qualification experience across a range of modalities.
