A leading NHS Trust in the UK seeks a Band 6 Rotational Speech and Language Therapist to join its dedicated team. This role involves managing a busy caseload across various specialties including acute care and neurological rehabilitation. Candidates should have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration. The position offers a supportive environment for professional development, a fixed-term contract until January 2027, and a competitive salary of £44,485 to £52,521 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly SLT teams.
Integrated into multi‑disciplinary teams, we provide excellent care for our patients. You will join a team of 18 Speech and Language Therapists and SLTAs in a supportive, dynamic environment with a reputation for developing staff.

The successful candidate will be keen to develop specialist knowledge, with excellent organisational and clinical skills to provide high‑quality care and facilitate safe discharges. Opportunities exist to participate in Quality Improvement Projects and shape service development.
The Therapy Department holds a high profile within the Trust and is committed to staff and service development. We offer in‑service and external training to meet service needs and individual learning objectives. You will be encouraged to develop clinical, teaching and managerial skills within Trust values and CPD guidelines.
This is a fixed‑term contract ending January 2027.
This post involves supporting the SLT team to manage a busy caseload and participating in the Band 6 rotation to gain competencies across the areas of: elderly care and general medicine; respiratory and surgical wards, including critical care; voice, head and neck cancer service; acute stroke and specialist neurological rehabilitation. The SLT team also work with the Rapid Response Team.
Dysphagia competencies and proven skills in MDT working and prioritisation are necessary for this role. We provide inpatient and outpatient FEES and video fluoroscopy services and there will be opportunities for this post to participate in these services.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to the regular teaching and training programme throughout the Trust.
