Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a graduate level, state-registered physiotherapist to join our Clinical Physiotherapy team in Yeovil. The post requires clinical experience and HCPC registration, and involves working across a 7-day service with on-call rotations.

You will provide evidence-based physiotherapy, support and supervise Band 5 staff, apprentices and students, and help in planning and evaluating the Therapy service while deputising for the Team Lead when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate level state-registered physiotherapist.
• Relevant clinical experience in physiotherapy.
• HCPC registration is required (UK).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised and evidence-based physiotherapy in the clinical areas as part of a 7-day service.
• Provide clinical support, guidance and supervision for band 5 staff, apprentices, students and Rehabilitation Assistants working.
• Assist the Team Leads in the planning, co-ordinating, delivery and evaluation of the Therapy service.
• Deputise on behalf of the Team Lead on both clinical issues and leadership duties within the Team.
• Have a broad understanding of physiotherapy specialities and of wider departmental/ professional issues.
• Partake in weekend working, respiratory on-call duties and other clinical extended hours services as rotations require.
