Job Title: Band 6 Research Nurse – Research and Development Team, Specialism: Innovation and Development, Location: Chertsey (UK), Salary: £28 Hourly, Duration: 3 Months

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey within the Research and Development Team at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust? We are seeking a vibrant Band 6 Research Nurse to support a dynamic portfolio of mental health and dementia clinical trials. With an hourly rate of £28 and a three-month contract, you will be stationed primarily in Chertsey but also enjoy the opportunity to travel for community study visits and various Trust events. This position is full-time, offering a blend of autonomy and team collaboration.

What you will do:

  • Screen and recruit potential research participants, ensuring they are fully informed prior to entry into clinical trials.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor participants, including vital signs, ECGs, and adverse event recording.
  • Administer clinical trial medication safely across multiple routes such as oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous.
  • Manage a portfolio of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocols and maintenance of accurate participant data.
  • Collect and process biological samples as necessary, with training provided where required.
  • Foster strong communication with clinical trial stakeholders and contribute to the promotion of research across the Trust.
  • Maintain and develop your own clinical and research skills, staying abreast of industry standards and best practices.
