Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Registered Podiatrist to join the North Podiatry Service on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This post is for 21 hours 45 minutes per week, working across West Sussex.

You will provide specialist podiatric care for patients at moderate and high risk, in a multidisciplinary team aimed at preserving mobility and independence while reducing hospital admissions.

Qualifications

• Registered Podiatrist with valid HCPC registration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert podiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients at moderate and high risk of foot complications.
• Manage patients with active ulceration and complex clinical needs.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic patient care.
• Help patients remain independent, mobile and active within their communities.
• Contribute to preventing avoidable hospital admissions and supporting timely discharge from acute settings.
• Participate in service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
