Job summary

Livewell Southwest is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to lead a busy NHS physiotherapy team at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth. The role covers leadership, supervision, and deputising for the team lead, with responsibility for service delivery and staffing within the NHS framework.

The post requires current HCPC registration and a minimum of 12 months NHS physiotherapy experience. In-person, 37.5 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Physiotherapy colleagues and cover for absent staff.
• Deputise for team lead with operational duties and workload delegation.
• Maintain clinical cover and support team during caseload pressures.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities of Physiotherapy and admin staff.
• Supervise workload, conduct appraisals, and support staff development.
• Assist with recruitment processes including interviews and induction.
• Provide guidance and signpost patients to appropriate services.
• Educate staff and students; facilitate training and placement supervision.
