Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to support our established pelvic health team. You will provide high-quality care for postnatal and gynecology patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role involves managing your own caseload autonomously, supervising physiotherapy students and therapy assistants, contributing to MDT teaching, and taking part in evidence‑based audits and continuing professional development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in core areas of physiotherapy
• Keen interest in pelvic health physiotherapy
• Ability to supervise and teach physiotherapy students and therapy assistants

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to pelvic health in-patients and outpatients.
• Assess and treat own caseload of patients as an autonomous and independent practitioner for patients who may have acute, chronic and/or complex presentation, and maintain appropriate treatment plans and records.
• Supervise and teach physiotherapy students and therapy assistants.
• Be involved in the teaching of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), staff and patient education groups.
• Undertake and present evidence-based projects and research including departmental audit and suggesting practice changes, under the supervision of line manager.
• Take an active role in own continuing professional development.
• Deputise for team leaders as requested for the day-to-day running of the service.

We are looking for Band 6 Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to support an enthusiastic, experienced and well established pelvic health physiotherapy team. The successful candidate will be expected to: Provide cover for postnatal and gynaecology wards Assess and treat patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and musculoskeletal obstetric conditions,

• To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to a range of pelvic health in-patients and outpatients.

• Supervise and teach physiotherapy students and therapy assistants.

  The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working in core areas of physiotherapy and have a keen interest in pelvic health physiotherapy.
