Job summary

NHS Professionals is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health Care NHS Trust in Worcester. This long‑term placement offers 37.5 hours per week at £23.82 per hour (exc WTD), working on-site at Kings Court.

You will manage a mental health caseload, apply OT assessments, and contribute to care planning. The role requires HCPC registration, OT degree, driving licence, and post‑registration mental health experience, plus strong communication skills and

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Current Health Professions Council registration
• Specialist knowledge and application of occupational therapy assessments and interventions
• Current full driving licence - travel requirements
• Significant post registration experience including mental health
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Identify OT goals with clients as part of the care plan using MOHO tools
• Manage a caseload of clients with complex mental health needs
• Plan and implement client-centred interventions using graded activity
• Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment to measure progress and effectiveness
• Provide training and advice to carers and other care settings
• Carry out complex risk assessments involving wide consultation and collaboration
