Overview

The role is for an experienced Band 6 physiotherapist to join the Musculoskeletal Service at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. This position offers progression and a full induction into the community service.

Responsibilities

Be professional, legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care.

Ensure a consistently high level of clinical care for the patients under your management and support your peers to do likewise.

Provide an equal and equitable service for all patients, including the harder to reach population groups.

Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients, using investigative and analytical skills.

Use a variety of assessment and treatment techniques appropriate to the patient, in accordance with evidence-based practice, national guidelines and trust and departmental policy (including manual handling and confidentiality).

Be aware of your professional limitations, seeking support as necessary through supervision, discussion with peers/more senior colleagues and team case discussions.

Demonstrate compassion, empathy and sensitivity whilst providing an appropriate level of care for patients with acute and chronic, complex presentations (which may include victims of torture, mental health patients, etc.).

Independently refer to a variety of other health agencies (e.g. other Physiotherapy Specialties, Podiatry, Biomechanics etc.) ensuring seamless care where possible, and may also include joint multi-disciplinary assessment.

Qualifications

Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
