Main duties of the job
- To operate with a busy caseload of outpatients alongside managing patient related and professional activities.
- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care.
- To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi-pathologies; use advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition.
- To demonstrate theoretical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and awareness of the biopsychosocial model when determining clinical diagnosis and prognosis, resulting in patient centred goals and treatment plan in line with evidence-based practice.
- To demonstrate highly developed dexterity, co-ordination, therapeutic handling and palpatory skills for assessment and manual treatment of patients. Assess the patients understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack the capacity to consent to treatment.
- To keep accurate, legible records of patient care in line with service guidelines and observing rules of confidentiality.

Job responsibilities
- Keep accurate, legible records of patient care in line with service guidelines while observing confidentiality rules.

- Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients and support progress in rehabilitation and treatment programmes.
- Evaluate patient progress, reassess, and modify treatment programmes when required.
- Work within clinical guidelines and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy guidance, maintaining a good working knowledge of national and local standards and monitoring the quality of your own and others practice where appropriate.
- Take responsibility for the safe and competent use of all equipment, aids, and appliances used by patients.
- Provide the highest standard of patient care at all times.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for ongoing personal and professional development.
- Participate in audit processes to support continuous excellence in patient care.
- Provide comprehensive aquatic therapy assessment and treatment to a wide range of client groups across inpatient and outpatient services, liaising with consultants as required.

- Proven experience of working as band 6 physiotherapist in musculoskeletal outpatients with experience in all core areas.
- Proven experience of working with a varied Musculo-skeletal caseload
