Job description

All posts will include shift working (including night duty) and on call duty. The successful applicants will receive a comprehensive orientation programme and are assured that they will receive appropriate support.,

  • Be responsible as an autonomous practitioner for assessing, diagnosing and providing professional clinical midwifery care to women during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal stages without referral to a medical practitioner.
  • To ensure referral to the appropriate health professional and to work in partnership with that health professional to ensure safe standards of care.
