Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a mental health practitioner to join their dynamic CAMHS team in Weston-super-Mare. The role involves carrying out assessments and providing interventions for young people with mental health issues, while being supported throughout the transition from training to a qualified practitioner. Candidates with relevant training such as RTT or CAPS, and specific skills like EMDR or DBT, are encouraged to apply and enhance their career within a supportive environment that promotes continual professional development.
The post holder would be required to carry out assessments for young people presenting with mental health difficulties in the community, as well as providing a range of interventions and treatments, within an agreed work plan.
The successful candidate will be part of a stimulating and supportive multidisciplinary child and adolescent mental health team (CAMHS). Working with children and adolescents and their families with complex mental health needs.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for practitioners who have recently completed RTT or CAPS training. We have a strong track record of supporting staff in transitioning from training to qualified posts.
If you have EMDR/DBT training, you will have the opportunity to utilize these skills to deliver specialist interventions on the specialist pathway.
