We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Locum Physiotherapist to join a clinical team in Barnsley for a 3-month contract. The role involves providing physiotherapy services in acute care, with a focus on respiratory, elderly care, and general medicine settings. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled physiotherapist to contribute to patient care in a dynamic environment, supporting the rehabilitation and recovery of patients across various clinical settings.

Responsibilities:
As a Locum Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy assessments and treatments to patients, particularly in the areas of respiratory care, elderly care, and general medicine. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualised rehabilitation plans, support patient mobility, and assist with therapeutic exercises. You will also manage a caseload of patients, ensuring that appropriate clinical decisions are made, and contribute to maintaining accurate patient records. The role will involve identifying patient needs, addressing barriers to understanding, and ensuring that patients and their families receive clear communication and education regarding their care plans.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and relevant HCPC Registration.
  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
  • Proven experience in acute care, particularly within respiratory, elderly care, or general medicine settings.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning and caseload management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to address barriers to understanding effectively.
