Role: Locum Lead Pharmacy Technician
Banding: Band 6
Location: Guildford
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Rate: £23 – £29 per hour
Working hours: Full time

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical trials team in Guildford. This is a permanent position, but we are open to considering interim candidates. If you are passionate about clinical trials and have the necessary qualifications and experience, we would love to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will lead and manage pharmacy services related to clinical trials. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. You will supervise and train junior staff. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the smooth running of clinical trials. You will implement changes and improvements to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience/Knowledge:
    • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant certification.
    • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
    • Successful completion of National Accredited Checking Technician Scheme (ACPT) or an equivalent accredited qualification.
    • Valid GCP certificate.
    • Qualified Educational Supervisor.
    • Previous experience in clinical trials.
    • Previous training experience.
    • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team.
    • Evidence of staff management and supervision, including delegation.
    • Evidence of implementing changes.
    • Previous recruitment experience.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
    • Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
