Position: Locum Community Physiotherapist
Banding: Band 6
Location: Bristol
Start Date: ASAP
Position Type: Temporary Contract (7 Oct 2024 – 5 Jan 2025)
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday (with potential for full-time or part-time hours)
Rate: £24.00 – £27.00 per hour

Job Description:
Sheppey Community Hospital is seeking a Band 6 Locum Community Physiotherapist to join our Rapid Response Integrated Care Service in Swale. This role focuses on providing specialized neuro rehabilitation services to patients within the Isle of Sheppey and Sittingbourne locality.

What your responsibilities will be for this Physiotherapist role?

As a Band 6 Locum Community Physiotherapist you will conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in the community to identify their rehabilitation needs and develop individualized treatment plans. You will implement and evaluate evidence-based physiotherapy interventions aimed at improving patients’ mobility, function, and quality of life. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care and support. You will monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. You will provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-management strategies and enhancing their understanding of their conditions.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a therapy or rehabilitation environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
