Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead delegated responsibilities as defined by the Senior Sister/charge Nurse
• Act up in the absence of the Charge Nurse/Senior Sister and monitor safety and quality of care
• Act as a role model promoting excellence through practice
• Maintain professional behaviour and promote the Trust's image in line with world class care values
• Undertake nursing procedures in accordance with Trust policies for the speciality
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive nursing records using written and electronic documentation
• Implement safe working practices with regard to the Trust's clinical governance and clinical risk strategies

Job description

The post holder will be expected to liaise appropriately with all key members of the multidisplinary team and service users related to the speciality.

• To Take the lead on delegated responsibilities as defined by the Senior Sister/charge Nurse.
