A prominent healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a CT Radiographer to deliver high-quality CT scanning services. Responsibilities include performing CT examinations, supervising staff, and maintaining records with a focus on excellent communication skills and infection control adherence. The role requires participation in an emergency on-call service and ongoing professional development opportunities.
The post holder will train and work in the CT department providing a high-quality CT scanning service. The role involves supporting and giving advice to Radiographers whilst working closely alongside the Lead CT Radiographers and Modality and Site Lead Radiographers.
The post holder will take an active role in radiology service improvement and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a designated CT scanning area within Imaging.
There is a need to acquire competence in all aspects of CT scanning. An important part of the role will involve intravenous cannulation for injections of iodinated contrast and point of care testing for renal function.
There will be a requirement to participate in the 24-hour emergency CT service working shift patterns including on call.
The successful applicant must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
It is essential the successful candidate is able to maintain imaging records, both paper based and in computerised systems with participation in audit and research as required.
The post holder will be responsible for supervision and teaching of Radiographers, Radiology assistants, Support Staff and Student Radiographers. Training and support will be provided.
Statutory and mandatory training together with continued professional development must be kept up to date.
The successful candidate is expected to undertake development opportunities.
There may be opportunities for the successful applicant to train in MRI.
