Contract Type: Ongoing | Full Time | Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00

About the Role

Join the Mental Health and Wellness Team in Harold Wood as a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) and play an integral role in delivering high-quality mental health care within the community. This ongoing full-time position offers a structured weekday schedule and the opportunity to make a real difference to service users’ recovery and wellbeing. Working as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will manage a defined caseload and contribute to person-centred, recovery-focused support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a defined caseload within the Community Recovery Service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Participate in ward and placement reviews to support effective discharge planning.
  • Arrange and attend Care Programme Approach (CPA) reviews.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of new referrals to determine appropriate interventions.
  • Liaise effectively with inpatient services, other community mental health services, and external agencies.
  • Participate in the duty rota, including Duty Shifts, Depot Clinics, and Clozapine Clinics.
  • Engage actively in weekly zoning and monthly business meetings to ensure service delivery excellence.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.
  • Experience supporting adults with mental health needs in a community setting.
  • Ability to manage a caseload autonomously and deliver recovery-focused interventions.
  • Experience within an Adult Community Recovery Team (CRT), Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service, or Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in administering depot medication and supporting Clozapine clinics.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
