An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly dedicated Bank 6 clinical Lead Nurse to join Swanswell Ward, one of our inpatient mental health teams based at The Caludon Centre, Coventry.
We welcome applicants who are committed to improving care for people who require inpatient mental health services and innovate practice within a ward setting. Applicants will need to have substantial post‑registration experience.
The post holder will be part of the nursing team and work a shift pattern that includes weekends and nights, ensuring a high level of quality care is maintained. The role supports the Ward Manager in all aspects of delivering safe care to the patient group, with an emphasis on maintaining quality and safety at all times.

The post holder will be required to work within a multi‑disciplinary, age‑independent, mental health inpatient service. The post holder will ensure that all organisational systems and processes are adhered to, manage competing priorities, and navigate complex situations. They will act as a resource of clinical knowledge and competence, contributing to staff and service development, audit, guidelines and quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in their area. The role requires trusted assessments, evidence‑based clinical interventions, and clinical leadership. Operational management responsibilities and quality and safety improvement approaches will be part of the Band 6 position within inpatient care.
