Job Title: Pharmacist Medication Optimisation

Banding: Band 6 – 8A

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Start: ASAP

Duration: Full time

Rate: £25–£43 per hour

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 am – 17:00 pm

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Medicines Optimisation professional to join our client’s team in Doncaster. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing on optimising the use of medicines to improve patient outcomes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective, and economical use of medications within the healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting medication reviews
  • Providing expert advice on the use of medicines
  • Developing and implementing medicines optimisation strategies
  • Working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes
  • Monitoring and evaluating medication regimens
  • Providing education and training to staff
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience in hospital or community pharmacy setting
  • Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation principles
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care
