Overview

Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist – CAMHS Early Intervention Practitioner in Plymouth. Pay rate up to £27-31 per hour. Full-time position for a three-month contract. A great opportunity to develop your career while making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

Working in a CAMHS environment, you will deliver assessments, offer advice, and signpost schools and community services for children with emerging mental health concerns. The role requires relevant community experience and an eagerness to implement evidence-based strategies within a dynamic healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver assessments and advice to schools and community services for children and young people with emerging mental health issues.
  • Coordinate and implement targeted interventions collaboratively with other clinicians in the Early Help pathway.
  • Ensure timely assessment and intervention for children and young people.
  • Represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings to coordinate mental health plans.
  • Act as a member of the locality-facing CAMHS Early Help pathway, implementing team decisions.
  • Evaluate interventions using Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROMS).
  • Participate in delivering CAMHS training programs to schools and community services.
  • Maintain high standards of care and effective communication with children, families, and health professionals.
  • Engage with clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and promote person-centred planning.
  • Provide advice, support, and signposting through the advice line.
