Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a Locum Band 6/7 Audiologist for the Paediatric Team in North Cumbria, UK. The role is full-time with an ASAP start, paying £31 hourly, and involves ongoing community-based audiology work with children.

You will conduct advanced paediatric hearing assessments and provide diagnostic input while coordinating with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registration is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in audiology, ideally paediatric exposure.
  • A valid driving licence is preferable to navigate between community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced paediatric hearing assessments, including OAE, AABR, VRA, play audiometry, and PTA.
  • Provide specialist diagnostic input and clinical decision-making, ensuring high-quality care for young patients.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams, transforming complex information into understandable terms.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of clinical governance to support excellent patient care.
  • Support the delivery of targeted audiology services aimed at identifying and monitoring children with hearing loss in a community setting.
