Job Title: Band 6 / 7 Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Tilehurst

Duration: Ongoing

Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30 (flexible)

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 6 / 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join our Adult Community based service. The successful candidate will assist in carrying out clinical face-to-face patient assessments, triage, and therapy across various locations in Berkshire. This role requires a professional who is dysphagia trained and capable of managing an independent clinical caseload.

This position is available now and the pay rate for this role will be up to £34 per hour.

Main responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical face-to-face patient assessments and triage
  • Provide therapy in various community locations
  • Maintain and manage an independent clinical caseload
  • Prepare and use electronic information effectively
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Essential requirements
  • HCPC registration
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Dysphagia post-graduate training
  • At least 2 years post-graduate experience working with dysphagia
  • Competent and confident in preparing and using electronic information
  • Up-to-date IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Car for community work
Desirable Requirements
  • Knowledge and / or experience of using the RIO patient-held record system
