We have an opportunity for enthusiastic nurses to join the Health Advising team providing a sexual health/prevention service to sexual health patients living in Birmingham and Solihull. We are looking for a motivated conscientious individual who demonstrates a keen interest in sexual health advising and working within an integrated sexual health service. Experience is desired although not essential as training will be given.
The overarching aim of the Health Advising service is to reduce any harm associated with sex, and to empower service users to make positive lifestyle choices.
You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and work within the Umbrella sites throughout Birmingham & Solihull.
Umbrella is a uniquely comprehensive partnership of local service providers, including community pharmacists, general practitioners, third sector and other partners, NHS Trusts and Birmingham City Council Services.

The post holder will provide advice and discuss issues relating to sexually transmitted infections, including results of laboratory tests, HIV infection and sexual health, with patients both face to face and over the telephone.
